Description & Mission

Who We Are:

UrbanFUTURE is a Missouri-based not-for-profit organization dedicated to sponsoring supplemental education programs for St. Louis urban youth. It strives to be a “connector” of the Family, School and Community that challenges each student to see and believe in his or her possibilities.

That is the core of the model, and at the apex is the family, the student’s primary educator, who is supported by representatives from the community and the school. UrbanFUTURE staff brokers the connections and is housed within the school building making it the hub for family and community to convene. In this way we address generational poverty at both an individual and structural level.

UrbanFUTURE's four-pronged emphasis of individual dignity, academic achievement, character development, and family commitment centers on the development of the "whole person" by bringing together youths and their families.

UrbanFUTURE, in partnership with family, school and community, is committed to the success of urban youth through character formation, academic growth and career preparation.
